I can assure that you will have no problem with the latest firmware . They changed the way the device Pings the ecm to see if the car is running as that was what caused the drain on earlier devices
they have admitted that they have not changed any of their boxes that still have the battery warning on them . Ieft mine plugged in for weeks
If you are going to leave it for some time , just unplug it and throw in glove box

Thanks fo the info all. The latest device is on back order. No promised delivery when I ordered. I’ll wait. The biggest reason I ordered device is my wife won’t use manual either in the Vett or her Comaro. The device goes in the Vett.
