Lug Nut Sockets
What does everyone use for the lug nut sockets?
I have the Black Painted wheels on my GS so I assume I would need one that has a plastic sleeve to protect the paint?
What size are they? I did a search and I think they are 19mm?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I use a 19mm 6-point deep well from Harbor freight with a thin plastic grocery bag inside the socket to protect the lug nuts and rim. I have seen some nifty sockets that people use.

What would you use if you want to use an impact wrench?

If you can find some deep sockets with a plastic insert, go with those. And 19mm is the size.

The problem with impacts is that everyone I've ever seen who use them to remove nuts, also use them to put the nuts back on... and, yes, I've had one or two that were done without my approval that caused the lug-bolt to twist off the next time the shop removed the nuts... or, tried to. No more!

I took a 19mm Deep Impact Socket and wrapped plastic/vinyl tape around the outside
accomplishing the same thing as buying a complete set that you WONT USE.......
Just wrap a regular 19mm Deep Socket with TAPE ???
