Default HELP Finding a small part

Hello All,

Thought I'd tap into the community with a repair question. 1 of the 3 motor assemblies on my driver side electric seats has gone bad. Specifically, the motor that lifts the rear seat bottom up and down. The small electric motor is fine but the gear assembly that it screws into has a single broken plastic gear. We're talking about a $2 part. Problem is, I can't find where to order a small custom piece like this. Not only that, but I can't find a replacement motor or assembly gear box sold seperately. The only part I can find online is the ENTIRE seat track system with tracks, 3 motor assemblies, and wire harness for $600. All that for single point of failure. A cheap plastic gear the size of a finger nail.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to make this repair as inexpensive as possible? I have the broken plastic piece of which half is missing (Broke off)

-Is there a place that can custom manufacture this small plastic piece?
-Any idea where I might find just the motor assembly to purchase, not the entire track system?

Nothing obvious on Ebay.

Thanks

I think you need to go to a good salvage yard and have them get on their system and find you one. Good luck!

This is passenger side but might have the same parts: https://aescorvetteparts.com/collect...embly-aa6410-1

Or bookmark the C7 section on their site, they disassemble and sell wrecks Regularly....nice OEM parts source, prices are mostly good but some stuff is expensive even for salvage.

No salvage man will split out the motors for you, you'll have to buy the track system to get the parts you need. Otherwise you're stuck with GM's parts system and prices.

Buy the salvage track system get what you need and sell the other parts here.

If you do buy the track system, I would purchase from you the plastic motor holder for the forward and aft motor which is the center one.
