That's great. Where did you have them installed? How much did they charge you? I contacted Bilstein USA Today and was told the B8 shocks can not be fitted to a stock height Stingray. The B6 was recommended.

Did you ask Bilstein how the B6 shocks differ from the OEM Z51 shocks? That would be interesting!

I did ask how they differ. The engineer said GM has the rights to the Bilstein shocks for the Corvettes and they are manufactured separately from that of the B6 and B8. He said he couldn't tell me how they differ and needed the technical specs for the GM Z51 shocks to compare. Of course I don't have that and only want to know what shocks are stiffer. I'm just going to go with the OEM Z51 shocks and purchase from Culturag. I already have the OEM Z51 sways installed and anything will be better than the base fe1 shocks on there now.

XP Motorsports, Longwood Florida. corvette race/track support shop. I’m very lucky to have them round the corner! Charged $100 for the rears just took an hour

why don’t you want to lower, do you live in an area where clearance is an issue and roads are bumpy?

Lowering a C7 Corvette reduces its performance capability by changing the suspension's camber gain. If you only care about how the car looks, then lower it. If you care about how well it handles, leave it at the standard height where the suspension can work the way it was designed to work.

I have no desire to lower the car. I only want to remove the soft, bouncy base fe1 shocks and put something firmer. I will most likely go with the OEM Z51 shocks. Thanks.

The problem is that back in April there were no Z51 rears available. As of last week they still are unavailable according to GM Parts for Less.
