Default Need Help From Professional Tuner.

I recently purchased a 2015 Z51 A8 with only 5k miles. As soon as I drove the car for the 1st time I knew it needed to be tuned because of the horrible transmission tuning. I did a quick search on the Corvette boards to see who seemed to be the most used tuner for my car. There were a few mentioned, but no one really stood out as the most used.

So I called one of the names that had been mentioned in several threads on this forum. The guy seemed like he really knew his stuff and claimed he was the absolute best at tuning C7's. I paid him $1000.00 and he sent me an Autocal V3 with instructions on how to use it. I sent my factory tunes to him and he sent my modified tunes to me to install in the car.

The tunes he sent really woke up the car for sure. I was instructed to perform a few data logs and not abuse the car while he made changes to the program. He was responsive and conducted himself professionally until my last data log. He instructed me to go ahead and full throttle the car and send him the data log.

Now here's my concern. The car shifts at 7k rpm on the tach from 1st to 2nd gear, and around 6600 rpm's when shifting in the rest of the gears. I e-mailed my concerns about this to him and his response was that it just meant that I had both tunes installed and that all was well as long as the shifts were tight and firm or I would hit the limiter.

He wanted another 20 minute data log to check things out and send them to him and then he would contact me. That was on Sept. 19th and I can't get him to answer an e-mail or phone for me. I'm concerned about the valvetrain being able to handle the extra stresses do to the increased rpm's. I would hat to drop a valve on such a low mileage motor an there's no more power up there with the stock valvetrain anyway.

I read the data logs from the Autocal and the highest rpm is 6875 with the tp% at 85.7. I guess the factory tach reads a little high. I'm not really sure what to do here. No WOT or back to stock I guess. Should I be that concerned with the increased rpm's?
