Driving at and HPDE event at Summit Point and a cloud of smoke behind me (2017 GS). Put the car on the trailer and on the lift back home. Turns out the feed line of the trans to the cooler came off completely. Dealer will look at it net week but I was told the lines are not part of the powertrain warranty (car was delivered in April 2017 so car is 42 months old). Anybody else had this happening and what was the resolution?
That's really weird but they are just held in by a clip. The clip is probably a couple of dollar and takes less than 30 seconds to install. The only time involved will be the properly filling of the transmission now.
I've no idea how this works, or is supposed to, but on race cars we use nothing but braided stainless steel lines. If you're going to track your car, I'd strongly suggest you convert such factory stuff to real racing components. All the best... next time.
I had this happen on my C6 automatic, turned out that the clip was the wrong one.
also have a look at the line as it might just be a drop of oil hideing something but it looks to me like the line is damaged
