maybe it’s just me but wtf why are the nick Williams 103tb and the Katech 103tb so slow to respond to throttle?
it feels like a lifetime from the time you hit the throttle to the time it accelerates and then another life time from the time you let off the gas till it revs down.
does anyone know why this is and how to solve it?

It shouldn’t be? What are you basing this on?
Logs of TPS command vs actual would help you, but the 103 has very similar mannerisms and my Zr1 is a super easy daily and a killer on it.
Is this low or higher speeds? If lower speed, it could be driver demand and or spark. If higher, you have commanded vs actual torque based limitations that isn’t allowing the throttle to open a the way and this would also easily be seen.
I can send you the config file to log what I need to see if interested. Just PM me your email. I just remembered another Zr1 owner who needed some help too. Sorry I’m on that as well.
I've got a '17 Z07 fully built 416 (Procharged + Holley Port) pretty much every mod possible and I've had my 103 Katech before most of my build started. I've always had a little delay when you hit the throttle but that's normal. In fact with Rev match on the difference is amazing when the computer controls the throttle vs foot. It's mostly just off idle but I had that same issue with the stock TB, 103, and never changed as my build grew. Maybe a video posted with your problem can help? I may be describing something different than your issue but I can see my TPS with my Holley dash and it's instant. So that delay is absolutely computer-controlled and intentional. When I switch down to a lower gear with rev-match it's damn near scary how fast the rpm and/or throttle control reacts. Post a vid and we can help more.
@C5-VERT
hey brotha it’s kinda hard to film what is happening. Here is an example of the delay I mean...
yesterday I was doing some test drives for my tuner to do data logging and blipped the throttle to about 70% in 3rd gear at 45mph after about a second the throttle hit and I was completely sideways for 4-5 seconds with tires roasting and all I did was blipped the throttle. It literally stayed revving for nearly 3-4 seconds and then came down before the engine slowed down. Now I get tires can keep spinning for a sec after you let off but literally all I did was blipped and I mean just tapped the throttle. If anything it should have just chirped the tires not sent me completely sideways at that speed for that long. It’s so delayed compared to my actual pedal.
Bring it by our shop if you can get out this way. We'll toss it on the dyno and do some data logging. It could be in your tune. It could be the virtual torque tables pulling throttle if it's really noticeable but there are also a few things we can do to makes sure you're getting instant throttle when the ecm allows it.
@JUICED1
thank you guys I absolutely appreciate it. I can see if I can get it towed out and how much it would be. How much for the dyno time and for your time? You can pm me if you prefer
@JUICED1
i just did a data log I can send you guys from my mpvi2 that shows the moment i described in the post recently that I can email to you and maybe even save a trip out
