Brought my car in for code po0442, small leak. Dealer replaces the fuel filler neck / hose. A few days later code comes back and they say a rodent had chewed through a kind of convoluted hose connected to the passenger side fuel tank fuel sender assembly, and it's gonna cost $4,400 dollars to replace. They even send me a picture of the chewed up hose. So I tell them to stop everything.
I pick up the car, put it up in the air. I have a scissor lift.
No way I can see on top of that tank where the fuel sender is.
My question is, if I remove the right side wheel well liner, can I see on top of that fuel tank where that fuel sender hose is supposed to be located?
if you remove the wheel well liner the evap cansiter is there i would think you might see whats wrong! and repair! if they sent you a picture i'm sure thats what they did

if its the hose i am thinking of - it comes part of the siphon jet pump. It connects the pump to the charcoal cannister
