Default Which aftermarket throttle body?

I have 2014 Stingray I want to add just a couple simple boltons. I was thinking cold air intake and ported throttle body. I do have the factory performance exhaust. I wanted yalls help determining which throttle body. 87mm ported or the 95mm Lingenfelter. Without any extra mods, is the larger bore a good choice? I realize I cant go crazy with induction without altering exhaust accordingly which I dont want to do at this time. One more thing, with the increased airflow, will my stock MAF be able to handle the upgrade?

Being normally aspirated, your engine is only going to "suck" in so much air, irrespective of size of the throttle-body unless the stock item is highly restrictive (which it's not). Get one of the aftermarket ported stock items and call it good. As for "intakes," even GM says their optional air-cleaner produces no more power on the Stringray than the original OEM. You are essentially talking bench-racing mods, imho. But nevertheless, welcome to the Forum. You'll find an "advanced search" across the C7 section will generate LOTS of threads dealing with throttle-body mods and air-cleaners. Enjoy!

For a bolt on car I would just recommend a ported LT1 throttle body. We carry the Soler Performance units and they have performed flawlessly for us so far.

If you are thinking you're going to add a cam and a intake manifold down the road it might be wise to jump to the LT5 unit but I wouldn't toss it on without tuning.

If you're not going to tune the car get a BMS drop in filter and a ported LT1 TB from any of the vendors on here. Unless you have bigger plans as mentioned above, don't consider the 95mm. It requires a tune.

Have no experience with anything except Soler, but cannot recommend them strongly enough. The parameters you established are perfect fit with Soler TB and throttle controller. I just installed on my car today, but visited Mike and Lewis at Soler in Daphne, AL. last week. I was undecided if I would benefit, or even notice, the changes of a PTB and controller. Mike spent a couple of hours with me walking me thru the process then letting me drive his car (Corvette) and see for myself how it changed and performed. I was blown away by the noticible difference. I had been very skeptical before driving. I drove with just the PTB and then PTB and TC working together. Installed on my '16 A8 today and even with the "learn" ongoing car was entirely different, it's "magic". II wholeheartedly endorse and recommend you go both PTB & TC. They complement each other and I think will achieve your goal of dramatically changing your car's response without a tune or other modification, and a relatively low price for the performance increase. Many posts on this forum by members and Mike from Soler. The benefits are not overstated. The install is easy and straightforward.

I have the Soler TB and Electronic Speed Control coupled with an Attack Blue Air Filer and all I can say is "WOW". I can't wipe the smile off my face, very pleased with the performance improvement and it idles smoother too!!

This is exactly why I ordered a Soler. Mike (and team) seem to genuinely care. I've received immediate responses. Now, I'm waiting on the full blown LT5 TB w/TC. Friday maybe.
(BTW Ranger, worked closely with 1st, 2nd, 3rd Batt Afghanistan, 2013-2014. Stay Frosty)

Good stuff IC. The "Boys" are great to be around. Who you with that brought you and Battalion guys together? Little after my time though... I was with them a time long ago and a universe far, far away, 1st BN then Regiment a number of years later.
Good luck with the new parts, will water your eyes. RLTW!

I own a 2014 Z51, I added a Vortech supercharger from A&A Corvette along with a Corsa Extreme exhaust for better exhaust flow & sound. I'm seriously thinking of changing out the stock cam for one that isn't overly aggressive but would give that lope I want. I'm also thinking of increasing the size of the throttle body, and adding bigger fuel injectors plus a high pressure fuel pump, any suggestions ?
Thanks !
