I just ordered the ACS side skirts but they're the ones that go under the car more than the stock ones and are supposed to be stronger. Problem is you have to drill into the rocker panel and underneath as per their directions. I don't so much mind drilling under the car but I don't want to drill into the rocker panel....
My question is have any of you guys installed these without drilling into the rocker panel and if so how did it work out?
I installed mine by drilling the Rocker, however I also used 3M VHB Tape before Drilling the Rockers and it was on really good.
I feel that using the Rivets underneath and the 3M VHB Tape you will be fine, It definitely won't Fall off. Perhaps try it that way first and if you are not comfortable that it is on securely then you can Drill the Rocker.

Yeah I saw some videos and it didn't look too bad drilling into the rocker. It already has some holes from the factory anyway.
Part of my problem is my cars in the body shop so their gonna be doing it while its there and I wasn't sure how they'd be with drilling more holes. I guess if they have an issue I'll just do it at home being it looked pretty simple.
Also as far as holes, unless you plan on removing the side skirts in the future, nobody will ever see the holes. I can say the ACS skirts were much beefier than the factory 3/4 skirts.
Yes because there are some fuel lines running in that area I believe.
My understanding is the automatic transmission cooling lines are hiding in there. Still not something you want to drill into.
My experience with EOS side skirts was they would droop slightly - thus screws were required to keep 'em tight and flush to rockers with no visible gaps. Carbon fiber or fiberglass skirts might be more stiff then plastic however the massive cost and weakness (prone to cracking) kept me away from them. So I used screws including some extra ones, plus tape. Might be overkill but I track my car so it has to handle more stressful conditions.

I installed the ACS side skirts on my GF’s 19 Stingray. I drilled the rocker panels and installed them using 3M double sided tape and the supplied rivets. I was nervous about drilling holes in the rockers but I took my time and it wasn’t a problem at all. You’ll be glad those expensive side skirts are secured with rivets and wont blow off while driving.
