Default Throttle body question, etc,.

I added a Vortech centrifugal supercharger on my 2014 Z51 last July, the car runs GREAT, the overall HP boost is awesome, 545 WHP, I don't track may car at all, it's just a thrill once in a while to push it a little on back roads and driving through canyons, but I don't run my car for quarter mile times.

I was researching throttle bodies as another addition, but from what I read centrifugal superchargers don't benefit from bigger (95mm) TB's.

Another performance mod I thought about was going with bigger fuel injectors and a high pressure fuel pump, but again I read that the OEM fuel injectors can handle the added HP gained by the blower, that I would be wasting money to make the change.

Again, I don't track my car, Lingenfelter has a cam kits they describe as being "moderate", which I guess means it's tame enough for a daily driver, but will add some of the aggressive lope at idle along with adding a few more HP.
I'm sure there are fellas here with tons more experience than me, and I'm hoping to get a little helpful feedback.

Thanks so much !

Don't do it with you saying you don't track r race your car leave it along now. Plus as far as in pump and inj going bigger no need in it unless you race it all the time & the stock inj are running into the high 90% duty cycle on them. This will wear them out faster.

But don't seem like that at your point are the tuner should have told you this when car was in WOT. Now if you do a cam to the point of having to do the DOD cam yes get the LT4 INJ & PUMP... Robert

Thanks Robert !
You're right, it doesn't really make dollar sense to go this route, I've learned since my post that the OEM fuel injectors & pump are adequate enough to handle the 545 whp my car showed on the Dyno after the supercharger was installed. A new cam kit isn't really needed either, I love the cam lope which is mostly what I was considering. So I decided instead to change out the stock 87mm throttle body for a Katech 95mm TB to get a little quicker gas pedal response.

Again thanks !

From everything I've been told and read, a larger TB only benefits PD blowers and N/a motors at your power level because they are "sucking" through the TB and not blowing through it. Your fuel will be good to around 600 wheel which is the LT1 fuel system limit. You could just do a pulley change and retune and done.

samwint77 thanks !

You're right about the OEM injectors & pump, I was able to confirm that through Josh at A&A Corvette where I bought my Vortech blower and where my car was dyno tuned, as for the larger TB there seems to be differences of opinion. Here in California we're limited as far as things we can do with our cars, I could do a LOT more if the plan was to use my car at the track but then I'd run into emissions problems if I use my car on the street.

Thanks !

Yeah you won’t really benefit much putting a larger throttle body on a centrifuged blower car. It’s not a restriction in front of the blower like it is on a PD car. I picked up 1 psi of boost but I have a PD blower going from an 87mm TB to the 95mm TB.

Well my friend... In the 60's & 70's the brown haze hung over L.A., it was impossible to engage in outdoor physical activities, your eyes burned and your chest hurt if you were outdoors doing even minor activities, schools would cancel PE classes, it was God awful. I had buddies with asthma, a close friends mom had COPD, let's hope we never go back there.
