Help diagnosing engine noise. Rhythmic slapping.
So Ive got this rhythmic slapping noise coming from the engine bay on idle and while driving, kind of sounds like two rocks hitting together. Sometimes it squeals a little too. It does get faster with engine RPM as well. Since its rhythmic Im thinking it might be the belt? Does a failing tensioner pulley sound like this? Could it be improper belt size or something stuck in the belt? Also it only happens for the first 10-15 minutes then goes away once the car is warmed up. Ive got a couple videos of the sound. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

In case anyone else is having a similar issue I changed out the belt and it seemed to fix the problem. Also, it looks like the shop that initially replaced the belt and pulley put on a belt that was too short, a K080842 vs the recommended K08050 which is about an inch shorter. Ive also seen it mentioned that perhaps the noise eventually went away when the car warmed up because the belt would get hot and stretch a bit, alleviating the noise. Anyway, just glad a simple belt swap solved the issue.
