If the car is all stock other than the cam use the stock blend weight but I have always used AMSOIL oil. The only reason to go with a thicker oil is you are burning oil are if blower set up with a more bearing clearance's... Robert

I've no idea what "stage 3" means, since anyone can call their product whatever they wish. but, I've no reason to think it would require anything other than as GM normally recommends for the engine. The important thing is that you follow the cam company's prep/start-up/break-in procedures TO THE LETTER... exactly! All the best.
What I run in my Texas Speed 416 stroker. They recommend it due to high zinc content. Pulled my motor apart after 3k miles (tracked 4 times) and the internals look brand new. Works for me. I'm sure if you change your oil often enough depending on how you drive you should be fine.
