Default X pipe install help

Anybody installed the x pipe using jack stands? Is there enough room to work? I bought some manzo xpipe from eBay and a set of gaskets and bolts. I’ve never been under this car. Looking for tips and suggestions. Thank you for your time

If you search you tube there are a ton of great install videos. I changed mine with a quick jack. Raises car 21in off the ground. Plenty of clearance

I have done all my work on jack stands, headers, x-pipe and exhaust. Honestly sucks but it can be done. I first put the car on race ramps, then jack the front up first using the crossmember, I put the jack stands (which are the screw adjustable type) in the front puck locations on both sides at there lowest level, then I jack the back up using the rear cross member, install the rear jack stands (regular stands) at the rear puck location at there highest level, after that I go back to the front and put the jack back under the crossmember and jack it up, but before I get it all the way up I take a 3rd pair of jack stands and place them side by side under the rear crossmember. I jack up the rest of the way tell the car is sitting on the four back stands, raise the threaded stands in the front tell they are snug and let the jack down. Car is supper stable this way. Oh I know people will come uncorked at me for this, but I but the jack stands right on the metal no pucks. Yes it leaves small scratches in the black but it makes me feel safer knowing there is not a 3rd piece to the puzzle. I am not showing the car with mirrors underneath it, lol. I had quick jacks before and they are cool, but it makes it where you can only get under the car from the front or back. Hope this helps.

Did mine on jack stands (at the subframe / cradle locations), no problems, its a little tight. Obvious a quick jack or lift would give you more room.

Look at you tube like one of the other guys have said. But that is a simple job and yes you can do it using the jacks one under each corner of the car at the jack points of the car.. Robert

Well, a lift and power tools do speed things up...

A good tip I saw in another video was to wrap the exhaust tips with a towel or other cloth so they don't scratch up the surrounding facia when you take the old pipe out or put the pipe in since you're wiggling things around quite a bit.
