Just installed both today. All went well. Checked and re-checked all connections. Fired her up and all seemed fine except for the Check Engine light was on steady. Proceeded with Soler's post-install process. CEL still on. Car runs and behaves fine. Very noticeable results. I ran a diag tool and confirmed the P16A1 code is still present. Cleared the code and the CEL is gone. I guess now I wait to see if it returns? Car runs/behaves 100% fine. I will send Soler the info and see what they think? What do you guys think?
Any thoughts out there while I wait for Mike at Soler to share thoughts on this?
I just did the same setup as your and had no problems. It did run a little rough at idle for about 30 mins and slowly smoothed out to 700 and has been fine
I am going to re-check all connectors again. I wonder if maybe the OE TB gasket didn't seat correctly? Easy check to do. Only separating the INTAKE and 4 bolts involved... On another note, Why does my Diag tool show the error code as a "permanent"? What does that mean?
The "permanent" error code is one that you cannot just clear. It will only reset itself after the ECU decides everything is happy and everything passes its own diagnostics after a period of time and/or drive cycles.

Ah, ok... I'll wait it out! So far the car is running 100% ok...

Soooo.... Today I decided to start from "almost" scratch. Unplugged the Negative battery clamp. Checked and re-plugged all relevant connectors. Tightened all related bolts and screws. Reconnected the battery and went through the Soler post install procedure. Viola! No CEL, no trouble codes! Car is running great! Hopefully this will be the end of this project. Early results of first drive is good. Feels much more responsive and much smoother on launch. I will use it for a few days and do a follow-up post on my take of the Soler TB and AFE Intake! Thanks to all that threw out great info that lead me down the path to resolution.

Did you unplug the "-" on the battery on the 1st install? If you didnt that caused the CEL. The ECM watches all of the sensors even with the engine off and will trip a code for unplugging a sensor while the battery is connected.

I have to admit that I did not disconnect the battery first time around. Other cars I've had "recommended battery disconnect" but not required. Live and learn! I don't recall my 2008 C6 being that sophisticated? Won't happen again!!!
Glad to hear the code is gone! Yes, like I mentioned to miami08vette, make sure that all the connections are securely in place, and disconnecting the battery is always good practice when installing new modifications (be it ours or otherwise). Some cars are more sensitive than others.... Often times, the code(s) go away on their own after a few driving cycles (one time thing, nothing to worry about). Even changing OEM TB for OEM TB can throw a code... Go figure haha. Other than that, enjoy the new mods!
Don't hesitate to give us a call shall you have any other questions or concerns. Again, glad everything is working as it should and you enjoy the modification! Keep us posted as you drive more and follow up on how it feels
