If I drive my 2016 Stingray 30 or 40 miles and then stop, if I try to crank it again it won't start, I have to be jumped off. Has anyone else had this issue? Put a new alternator on it, had the battery checked, its ok. It can set 3 or 4 days in the cold and it will fire right up.
How many miles on the car? If you park the car for 20 - 30 minutes after it won’t start, does it start then? Does the check engine light come on? My first Corvette did something similar, but it was a C4. I replaced the main computer and insulated it and that solved the problem. Just a thought. Your situation is probably different.
Such a short drive typically wouldn't heat soak the starter enough to produce these symptoms, but I'm still going to suggest a starter replacement. The battery wiring from the under-hood aux fuse block to the starter would be another place to look.
I would agree with laserdude2215, sounds like a starter issue to me, what we used to call starter dragging. When it gets hot, vehicle will not crank but let it cool down, will crank just fine, is a starter issue.

I agree. It sounds like there is an issue somewhere in the wiring to the starter or in the starter itself. First, check to make sure the wires at the starter are fastened tightly and the connections are clean and free from any corrosion. If the problem still persists then it is time to remove the starter and have it checked out by a shop that can check starters.
If that is the original battery, I can almost promise that it is a battery issue, 2016, 5yr old battery, new battery before you spend starter money, & I have doubts the original alternator was bad, alternator & starter failure is rare these days. A 30 mile drive will not recharge even a new battery. Do you have a battery tender on your car when not in use?
