I am attempting to remove the rear rotor on a 2014 Z51 with 36000 miles. Front rotor was no problem. I checked for the parking brake before I started and turned it on and off. I got the parking brake release message. Any suggestions before I do something wrong. This is a picture of the dash when I hold the start button for a few seconds and it doesn't show parking brake on.
This is a good video. I'll definitely give that a try next time. Both rotors ended up being a bit of work. I went at it with a dead blow hammer and rubber mallet and after quite a few hits they let go.
This video saved me big time... I spent 20 minutes whacking with hammer, almost gave up then asked the YouTube gods for help. Saw a few videos using this bolt trick and within 2 minutes the rotor was off
