Been having some issues keeping the car tracking straight when giving it almost any throttle past 1/2 in 1st and 2nd. It's a stingray and I had new much wider wheels, tires, and alignment but still didn't fix the issue. Anyone experience the back end kicking out to one side after lowering their car on stock bolts?
I've heard lowering it can knock the rear caster alignment out too. I tried to ask the dealership to check it but they acted like they never heard of it and had no way to measure it. I've seen some posts here with people using a homemade tool to measure it. Any details on how that tools is made or how to perform the measurements?
Find another dealer that knows about the tools required to do the rear caster. Or find an independent alignment shop that is familiar with corvettes. Ask a local Vette Car Club, they may be helpful. The rear caster setting is very important.
I bought this from the for sale section here on CF two weeks ago. This is exactly what you need. Forget about dealerships if you have a good alignment shop near you and have this tool. I bought what is in the pic for $70.00
I also have a Stingray with 335/30/18 rear tires ... Drag radials for racing in my case.

Thanks for the help!
A good alignment will make all the difference! Most dealers don't have a clue. A shop with Track experience is even better.
