Default Front Tire Wear

I am looking for input on these front tires
The outer edge wears differently then the inner edge
So much so that the inner half is down to the wear bars where the outers half has plenty of wear remaining
Is this normal, should they be replaced due to the inner wear bar being flush with the tread?
There is a noticeable step in the tread depth on either side of the center slot of the tire tread

A lot of the time, it is normal, especially if the car has been lowered and not had an alignment done.

A picture of the tread would help. Inner tire wear is caused by too much negative camber or too much toe out on your alignment (for the way you are using the car). The wear patterns look different for each alignment problem.

Yes, this is somewhat normal. The C7 owners I know, including me, had alignments done shortly after taking delivery. All required adjustment for optimal tire wear in normal/street conditions.

Yes, you should replace the tires if they're at the treadbars, even if only on the insides. I recommend you get a good street spec alignment, replace the tires, and drive-on.

Question for you on camber, I put about 8,000 miles a year on the car including maybe 4 Drivers Ed days a year
I am a novice level driver. Should I get a camber setting geared more for the street so not to wear them out prematurely?

Yes, I would. I'd keep it at about -3/4 front and -1/2 rear negative camber. More camber would give you more ultimate grip but cause the wear you are seeing. So it's a tradeoff. Both of these sources recommend a little more camber than I did. But notice their street settings have the least and their track settings the most.

Yes. Do a search here and the general section for threads on this problem. I had a realignment done two years ago and can see improvement in tire wear with no noticeable change in handling. Find a top-drawer alignment shop in your area and tell them you want a "street alignment." I would advise that you provide the specs based on your research of existing threads. Basically, get camber and toe near zero, especially toe.

All the independent alignment shops in my area declined saying they doubted my GS would fit on their lift, so I had it done at a dealer in a nearby city that speaks Corvette fluently. Below is the result of my street alignment. Note that I was seeing inside tire wear only on the front tires.

Thanks guys
the car was suppose to get aligned today at the dealer for a street alignment but they ran out of time, I asked them to document existing conditions versus standard street alignment so I could see what’s going on.
hoping they get to it next week
