While disconnecting the car, the small connector going to the ground battery connector snapped.
i went to autozone and advance auto parts and a similar part was nowhere to be bound.
can someone tell me the exact spec of that part and potentially where I can buy?
That is a generic ring lug connector. Search Lowes or Home Depot for "wiring connector ring" and you get over 100 choices. Just select ones for the correct wire size or pick up a couple sizes that cover from about 12 to 18 gauge. They typically crimp on. Some have insulation on the stem where you crimp - not a problem - you can remove the insulation sleeve if you want to.
Searched Autozone for "wiring connector" and also found a selection. They are probably hanging on a peg board near the bulbs and fuses. Again - you can remove the insulation sleeve or not...
Seems I bought an assortment including a crimping tool / wire stripper many years ago at a discount store.
I tried a 1/4 inch ring 16-14 gauge but it was too large to grab the wire correctly.
I ended up ordering 1/4 inch ring 22-16 gauge. Will see if that fits in a couple of hours
All of this to get out the driver muffler and change the driver AFM actuator. Already changed the battery on my C7 2015 a couple weeks ago after almost 7 years of service, battery from 2014.
Pay attention to the photo. It has 2 crimps. One for the wire itself and one for the wire and insulation. The only proper way to install a eye lug onto a wire.
Hard to find this type of connector, dual crimp, in the correct size. Also you will need the correct crimper to make the two crimps which are each different.
Searched for a long time but came up with nothing the same. Mouser, Digikey etc. But didn't spend over a couple hours looking.
