Electrical glitch?
Took a short drive to the store. When I got back in and started the car I noticed that only the center of my dash where my speedometer is normally displayed was completely dark. When I got back home I did what I usually do with computer glitches,- I shut off the engine and restarted it. With that, the speedometer info was again displayed. I thought the problem was "fixed", but when I shut the engine down the speedo info as well as my radio remained lit. They gradually dimmed and shut off. All other dash lights shut down with the engine as expected.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any ideas as to the cause of the problem and the fix?
