I hit a pothole yesterday going about 45 mph. The road was wet after raining and I didn't see it until it was too late. Hit it with the driver's front. Now the car has a mild pulsating vibration when going over 60 mph. Can feel vibration through floorboard on foot rest and with steering wheel. I am taking it to get checked out tomorrow. So question is if the wheel is bent can it be repaired safely or should I just buy a new wheel? Thanks for any input.
As long as the wheel is not cracked, a bend can be repaired. I bent three of the wheels on my 19 GS when we travelled to Denver 2 years ago. I-70 is so bad that I thought we were going to disappear in one of the holes. Vibrations for the rest of the trip Took the car to a wheel repair company (Alloy Wheel Repair) and they did a great job. No bends or cracks since. Hopefully if I bend one again I won't crack it.

Yep, as said as long as the wheel isnt broken it can be repaired. The face side is harder to repair and can require the face of the wheel to be refinished. I just hit a pot hole myself, thought I damaged 2 wheels ended up being all 4 of my HRE wheels on the wifes car. Just got them all fixed this week.
Lucky indeed. I hit a huge pot hole and put a slight bend in the wheel. Had to buy a replacement because nobody around here will repair a chrome wheel.
Bent wheels can be repaired, however, if the wheel has been subjected to a side impact and is bent through the hub it can't be repaired. The right rear corner of my car hit the wall at VIR bending the right rear upper control arm and the 18x12 Cast Aluminum OZ Racing wheel that was mounted there. The wheel was pushed up and forward to the point it hit the quarter panel and cracked it and the aperture panel. The wheel wasn't obviously bent but I took it to Discount Tire and once they spun it on the balance machine you could see where the inside edge was bent. $155 later and the wheel was straight.

That's what I was going to tell you. The force of the blow might have knocked off some of the previous balancing weights. You still checked it to make sure it's true though didn't you.
