c7 Z06 Tuning question
My shop in Southern Cal charged $875 for a tune plus $199 for a license. They said they tuned to car for 91 since we only have 91 here. I have a c7 z06, put an intake and corsa performance exhaust only went from a crappy 510 baseline to 546. Blaming the poor gas. Which I get. I found a gas station near me that has 100 octane, so I can mix 100 and 91 to get over 93, Or I can use Torco or Boostane but my shop said there's no need to re-tune. I felt a fair amount more power with better gas, but I have clue what I'm making. Which begs the question, what exactly did I pay for? We could have just left the factory 93 tune and could have just put better gas and save the grand.
I'm looking into a ported blower and pulley, so I'd need another tune. Are subsequent tunes same price as the first tune? If so, then I'll really be pissed.
