Like many others, I have been a fan of the Michelin Pilot A/S 3+ for a number of years on my 14 Z51. I have been told by both Discount Tire and NTB that Michelin has discontinued the A/S 3+. I live in Dallas so I do not want the A/S 4, too much cold weather capability and is not needed for the wet/dry(hot) conditions of Texas.
Any suggestions on what the next set of great handling, strong wet/dry tires to try?
Thanks and Happy/Safe 4th weekend to all, Joe
Reach out to Discount Tire from this forum. They are a vendor and might be able to find you a set of Michelin all seasons. They helped me when I was having trouble finding PSS Zero Pressures.

I've got a pair of date code 2019
Pilot Super Sport ZP - Size: P285/30ZR19
Take offs with less then 1K miles I've been saving but I sold the car. I'll take $500 +ship for the pair if you can use them?

I don't even know if they come in the size you need, but I would check on Continental DWS Extreme Contact. I used them as rain tires for track days (Mustang) and they were good in the rain. They DO NOT pick up gravel like the Michelin Pilot Sports and they were very easy to drive at the limit on the dry/damp track. In other words, a very nice street tire. Not quite the ultimate grip of the Michelins but close. And I thought they were a little quieter too.
Up in the NE I need a tire for cooler weather so went with AS 3+.
I recommend either the Continental Extreme Contact Sport (Max Performance Summer) or Extreme Contact DWS (Ultra High-Performance All-Season). Both perform well and are significantly lighter weight than other options. Tirerack has specs and reviews.
I have the DWS version. Very happy with them. My wife's 15 Mustang GT is on it's second set and they have been great even in 3 inches of snow. I imagine they give up some ultimate grip compared to the other version but that doesn't bother me.
Continental - my choice also. After both myself and my wife went skating numerous times (hydro plane) with the GM supplied Michelin tires for the 2017 GS. The Pilots looked like they had been shaved on day 1 (I posted a comparison picture back in 2017). Performance may be a valid argument but in Houston, average velocities are 25 MPH!!
To everyone who participated in this thread, cannot thank this Corvette community enough for the excellent exchange of info, ideas and opinions. I found a set of Michelin A/S 3+ so I have tires for the next couple of years.
I also own a sleeper WRX as a daily driver and put the Continental DWS on it. Super tire, great traction, no noise, doesn't flex in hard cornering. Unless some other tire comes up on the next couple of years as a great Vette tire, I will try the Contis on the Vette next time.
Happy and safe driving to all of you!
I had Discount Tire put on a set of A/S4 Michelins on my car and I am very happy with them so far. Just curious why you passed on them since they seem to be the upgraded version of the A/S3+.

I felt the pattern was too aggressive for Texas. I would have certainly liked this tire back in NY because it seems like a good snow pattern, but here in Texas that aggressive pattern feels like it will heat up very fast and degrade the tire that much faster. Already tires seem to literally burn up here about 25% faster than in cooler climes.
Kinda contradicts the term A/S All season tires doesn't it? The A/S 4 are going on my 2014 for the next set of tires and I live in FLorida, the state with the vast amounts of snow and sub frigid temperatures.
Nothing like a Miami blizzard 😉.
I was thinking along the lines of 105 to 109 degrees we see here throughout late July or August and September. I have used a laser thermometer on roads and gotten temps at over 145! I travel through the Permabasin and it is even hotter.
I've got AS/3's on the front of both of my Corvettes 16 Z06 & 19 ZR1-drag radials on rear. The AS/3's are great. You can still find them if you do a little searching.

I agree on the Continentals. They’re my second set of tires. The Continentals have been fantastic. No squealing. Very quite. I’ve had one track day on them. They worked great. I’ll buy them again for my 19 GS.

I've used Discount Tire in the past but I will NOT use them again because IMO they "ripped" me off by charging me to both discount a pair of old tires and mount a pair of new tires (that I bought from Tire Rack) on my Mercendes ML-350.
Cost me $100 for the job (incudlng balancing) high normally would only cost $60.
They also failed to put the proper air pressure in all of my tires and two out of the 4 tire caps were loose. Pretty shabby work for too much money in my opinion. Torque was also off on a cople of lugs.
Only went to my local Discount Tire becaue the BigO shop that normally does my tire work was very busy. Won't make that mistake again.
Welp, I've used Discount tire since 98 for my tires and I've had good and bad. They have always stood behind their work and even when they dropped my car on the ground without a wheel. I've still had them as my tire guys. The poor guy that dropped my car was having a really Baaaaad day.
It cost Discount tire around $1,800 in damages but they gave me the money fast and didn't twitch about the cost. It isn't cheap to drop a tool on the trunk deck and then while explaining to the manager how the tool damaged the paint, he slapped the handle of the jack in disgust and the jack dropped the car. That dropping took out my ACS side skirt. The kid was almost in tears by the time I left...

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
