2016 Z06 Convertible, had a small amount of oil on the garage floor, passenger side, in front of the rear tire.
Are the coolers behind the wheels on the Convertibles (no upper cooling ducts) like they are on the Coupes? Do the cooler lines run over the wheel wells and along the outer side of the car?
Don't see any oil on the underside of car frame but haven't yet reached up into the openings under the car.
I sort of doubt it is due to a leaking shock. If the shock is leaking the oil is going to come down the shock to just inboard of the lower ball joint on the lower control arm and drop onto the barrel of the wheel. Maybe the wheel throws the oil around the wheel well when it is rotating but I suspect the oil is probably coming from the front of the car. The dry sump reservoir is about 6 ft in front of the rear wheel. If oil was spilled when oil was added to the engine the oil could travel along the frame/body and drip in front of the rear wheel.
