Default C7 throttle body swap issues

Just removed my Tony Mamo TB and went back to stock as I am getting ready to trade and have noticed the RPM's drop and then acel from 500 to 700 and then settle down several times when at a stop. I pulled the neg side battery after installing the stock and let it sit overnight and went out for a 20-mile drive with no changes. Should I pull the battery cable again? Thanks!

I suggest you keep driving it for a total of 100 miles or so, at all sorts of speeds and throttle positions. It takes a bit for the car to adjust.

That's interesting.....you did the reverse of what most folks do and had an issue

I agree with Elk in the respect that it needs more time to adjust to the different airflow of the stock TB, but a battery disconnect might help you get there quicker

Let us know how you make out

Hey Tony,
Last night as a sanity check I decided to pull battery and then removed stock TB just to check everything out and reinstall. Today when I get home I will reconnect neg. cable and go for a drive.

I did see there was a relearn on the forum but never had to do this with your TB.
Would you recommend this? Thanks!

Sounds and behaves like vacuum leak somewhere. Is the TB well seated. Is gasket in good shape? Sometimes the bolt tightening sequence and/or torque used will cause these type of issue. Good luck...

No CEL is a good sign. Pulling the battery for a bit worked for me when I had CEL after TB install. If you did the TB work with battery connected it would explain your situation. Good Luck...
