I need to replace the front rotors on my 2019 GS due to track use. The brakes are J56 (what I call 'iron' ), not the Z07 version. I have watched the how-to-video for the Z51 rotors. Are the instructions the same for the GS? Torque specs the same? Any other words of wisdom?
Also, I have used the OEM rotors for the track, of course. Am replacing due to cracking. Should I use the OEM rotors again or is there an aftermarket rotor (e.g. DBA) that others would recommend for track use.

Any guidance here would be appreciated. Thanks!
Dont recall the torque specs off the top of my head but if you search Z06 iron rotor replacement (which are the same) I’m sure they’ll pop up.
For stock brakes, my opinion is the stock rotors are fine. Girodisc will save you a pound per side. I think DBA and Girodisc have replacement rings that use the OEM hats and are left/right specific such that you get a tiny bit more cooling. When I need my next pair, I may buy Girodisc to see how they pan out. I use them in the rear and used them on my C6 GS.
