wet Key Fob
I accidently left my key fob in my pants pocket and it went through our clothes washer at home. I found the key fob before the pants hit the dryer. Surprisingly, the key fob worked while soaking wet, nonetheless, I disassembled it and let the parts dry out. It appears to work now but will it be dependable in the future? I have my spare fob but perhaps I should have another made just in case this one craps out someday? Thanks in advance for any input into this issue.

The key fobs have a rubber gasket that are supposed to keep water out. Not sure how effective it is but I've had my fob go through the washing machine before without an issue. It did not go through the dryer though.
