I did this swap last winter. Stingray non z51 to z06 steel brakes. The stock offset wheels will need a spacer, weapon x actually sells them. I believe it 5 or 6mm. While you are there order the stainless brake lines as well, for the z06. The stock stingray ones do not work anymore. Other than that you are good to go. Enjoy the upgrade.
Well whats your reasoning on why you are swapping the brakes? if its for looks thats fine but if its for high performance (track and autocross) Id personally just get a better brake kit from willwood, brembo or whatever brand you prefer. its going to be similar priced or even cheaper and perform better. and if youre having issues stopping with the stock 4 piston. try going with upgraded brakepads and rotors to more of a high performance parts rather than swapping the entire system out. will save you alot of time, money, and headache. :O

Im running close to 620Whp Currently and i’m turning it up this week to close to 700. I would safely say the 4 piston even with upgraded rotors and pads just aren’t cutting it anymore. I will look into the kits you mentioned
I'm also looking at doing this over the winter (only up front due to already having a Carlisle 15" rear conversion) and was wondering if anyone has actual part numbers for the calipers handy? Or can you verify the AC Delco ones I see on Summit ending in 497 and 498 correct for the iron 2 PC front rotors? And lastly, is there anywhere else you recommend purchasing them? Summit has them at a different price per side for some reason.
Rock Auto has them a fair amount cheaper. Shipping will add to it a bit though. There's still that weird price difference between right and left, and between different colors.

Hey thanks for that, Jeff! I've never ordered from RockAuto before but I have heard a lot of people talk about them. I guess it's time I give them a try! 🍻
One more question, any recommendation on pads? Street use 98%, hope to see an 1/8 or 1/4 here and there and a half mile event just once to say I did.
get hawks or some autocross pad, something with a cold bite. it will be better for street driving since you wont have heat in them while on the street and good bite when ur at the strip.
I have little experience with autocross pads but i think hawk dct or something like that is pretty popular and good.
