Just bought a Soler Throttle Controller and was wondering about using it with the different drive modes. The Corvette owners manual references "Throttle Progression" changing with each mode (weather, eco, tour, sport, track). So does the Soler TC essentially "overwrite" the throttle signal regardless of what mode you're in? Or does it complement the stock signal depending on what mode you're in?
Bottom line is I'm trying to determine if I should leave the car in Tour mode and find a setting I like on the Soler. Or, should I put the car in Sport and THEN find the best setting on the Soler? Or does it not matter?
The drive modes affect throttle progression. I doubt the Soler will do anything to that. That is controlled by the ECM and the EBCM. The ECM changes the slope of the throttle input signal so it doesn't suddenly go from closed to wide open. It also changes the slope so it doesn't suddenly go from wide open to closed. The Soler TC is plugged into the output of the throttle position sensor and changes the voltage level to increase the throttle opening for a given throttle position. The ECM then opens the throttle blade based on the voltage level received from the Soler TC Vs the actual throttle position sensor. However, when the car is operating in the various drive modes it will change throttle progression to reduce the impact of sudden throttle position changes which can upset the balance of the car thus causing the driver to lose control.
I don't know for sure but I suspect there is a feedback loop from the EBCM (the EBCM knows wheel speeds and wheel slippage) the ECM uses to determine how fast to let the throttle open or close.

I installed a Soler TB and TC earlier this year, so I'm far from an expert on TC interaction with the ECM. That said, I believe the TC complements stock signals from the pedal. The modified signals are fed to the ECM, that processes them IAW the currently selected drive mode. FWIW, I drive my car almost exclusively in Sport mode, which is where I "dialed-in" the TC. IMO, vehicle Sport mode with TC Sport 5 calibration (supposedly the most linear) feels great.
For a more detailed explanation of TC behavior, recommend contacting @Mike@SolerEngr. In my experience, he's very responsive and forthcoming with information.
