Default TSP 2" LT Headers Installation Questions

Have any of you installed these? I saw on the TSP website that these may require some massaging to get to fit correctly? Did anyone run into this? I'll take any tips or tricks on the install if you have them.

I wanted the 1 7/8" but they've been out of stock forever. So I just ordered the 2"

I've installed a few sets. Mine hit the steering shaft a little bit but not enough for me to worry about "massaging"

Didn't have good luck with the 2" on my Z, they made tons of non-exhaust racket from rubbing on something we could never find. Swapped them for the 2" Kooks and those just dropped right in, didn't even have to remove the oil lines and I have no noise or rubbing anywhere, just glorious exhaust sounds. You get what you pay for I guess...

They fit fine, but the key is to jack everything up basically as high as you can without hitting the floor while you're tightening clamps.

Yeah, it was weird. There were no rub marks or signs of rubbing anywhere but there was a constant ticking sound in the cabin so something was vibrating on something. I was using their tunnel plate too which is supposed to avoid any contact since the TSP headers hang lower than Kooks or ARH which re-use the OEM tunnel plate. I had cats on those and went catless with the Kooks because I wasn't going to spend an extra $900 premium for their green cats. Maybe it had something to do with that but, either way, the Kooks were really easy to get in place according to my installer. Luckily for me my shop only charged me the difference in part pricing, didn't ding me for the R&R on the swap since they recommended the TSP to me.

I switched to tsp 2” headers from cheap speed engineering headers. They do not leak like speed engineering, but do not fit or clear body on passenger side. Taking these off and going Arh. Take my advice and just bite the bullet once. You get what you pay for some times.

I had a set of those 2 inch when they 1st came out with them they didn't fit hit bad. But since then I heard they redone them but then again even now some will say they hit one place are the other & then others no. I sold those went with the Kooks & these 2 inch I didnt have to do have the work nothing to get them in the car. I didnt have to unbolt the mounts and raise each side up like hell. I did the others also nothing hit fit like a glove with no problems. Robert

My first set of 1 7/8 fit fine, but the second set rattled around at times. Took me forever to figure it out. I bought a set of 2" arh and called it a day.
