I just got a pair of eagle f1 supercars 3rs on my c7 and im wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them on track and can recommend me an alignment to try out to maximize grip from these tires.
Should I just stick with the factory recommended -2.0 front and back? or should I try something a little different.
I know its not a very common tire for corvettes to run but it was the only semi that was available near me that could be shipped quickly. (Im running next week)
Ive been running the PS4S for the past year and they are real fun but they overheat too quickly for me and I know they arnt exactly a "track tire"
I run the regular super car 3’s and could tell you that you definitely need a lot of front camber. I believe I’m around -1.8-2ish in the front and could use a lot more. Front left tire is almost shot since most of the tracks I run are hard fast right hand turn heavy. Great tires though - even the regular 3’s had boatloads of grip and didn’t overheat easily.

Thanks for the feedback!
Ill try a -2 in the front (I think that's the most I can get with stock suspension)
Any idea on what you run on the rears? I'm thinking -1.8
I run the tracks in SoCal so the temperatures are like 90-100+ in the summer and my Michelins do not like that at all
Glad to hear they are quite heat resistant as that was my main reason of buying these!

Did you get a pair (two) or did you get all four tires? If a pair what do you have on the front and what do you have on the rear?
I'm curious what sizes you are running and is this a widebody C7? I run them on my C8 but I didn't start out with the full track alignment so the edges got pretty chewed up early on. Other than being diabolical when they are cold I really like the 3r.

Stock fitment and my fronts are 245 40 18 rear is 285 35 19. I just have a base model haha and yes yes I know about how if I were to track a c7 it should be the z51 ect but its kind of fun dealing with all the problem that come with tracking the base model (im in denial.)
gave them a little test on the road after getting some heat in them and the turn-in was already much better than the Michelins. Cant wait to see what they can do on the track with real heat in the tires!
Just got back from my day out. I ran around =1.8 front and= 1.5 rear and you guys were right. I could have def used more but I think I need a camber kit to get there. The grip on those tires were absolutely phenomenal. Kicked the rear out a few times getting too excited before the tires got some heat but once they had heat in them it was a whole different tire in terms of grip and didn't over heat at all. Sadly I couldn't exploit this tire to the maximum due to some issues with my brakes (which I started another thread if anyone wants to help out) causing me to actually run a lot slower than I did on my street tires but other than that I had a blast seeing what these tires can do. The most impressive part was the braking I had with my new pads along side the SC3R (before my brakes overheated.) Unfortunately I can not afford these tires as my normal track tires as I bought these as a last resort due to the tires I actually wanted not being in stock near me and had to kill the bank to get these but I will try my best to run them down to the cord!

Have you removed the washers under the frame mounts of the upper control arms. I have no washers at all and have camber at -2.7. I don't remember exactly but I think there is another .1deg- .2deg available.

Ive read that somewhere but my alignment guy said it wouldnt do anything. next time I go out ill be sure to ask him to look again. If it cant be pushed any further im going to buy an alignment kit, the amount of camber this car needs is kinda crazy.
