Default Introducing Soler Prf. DLX Bluetooth Throttle Controller

Hello, Everyone. We are pleased to announce that our Deluxe (DLX) Bluetooth Throttle Controller is now available at a very attractive introductory price. MSRP $240, now $189 for a limited time. Or get $100 off MSRP price when purchased together with any throttle body (use code "50-OFF-TC"). Available for C7 and C8 only, C6 coming soon.

https://www.solerengineering.com/gen...tors/se0525-tc

Here's a brief summary. (We have also attached the user manual for those who want to dig deeper into the details)

Simply the most; advanced, wide-spectrum, compact, durable, and, arguably aesthetically pleasing throttle controller in the market.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Ten Modes, with a total of 64 possible settings (see chart).
  • Dual control, directly on the display or remotely from your smart device.
  • Sturdy aluminum construction, buttons, and heavy-duty harness.
  • Self-adjusting OLED display intensity for optimum visibility.
  • Fail-safe vehicle-specific design.
  • Does not require the display to operate, for those who prefer a fully concealed device.

Looks to be a very nice product.

I look forward to reviews, especially of the AI function.

Hi Mike.

Two questions:
1) The head unit / controller is always present and remains wired to the car?
2) How does one "lock" the unit in Valet mode so the setting cannot be changed? Only via the app?
Thx,

Hello,

1) Yes.

2) Recommend hiding the display unit out of sight, if you do not want anyone tampering with the controller, the best thing is that they don't know there is a controller in the first place.

Clarification: The lock feature disables the pedal. It doesn't lock the controller in the current mode.

Hi Mike.

Thanks. I think what I would really like is a unit that has no control head -- just a unit that plugs in between the two pedal connectors, and is controlled only via Bluetooth, and is really out of the way. Once I figure out which mode I want, I'll leave it at that, and I'd use the phone to invoke valet mode (or any other mode I might feel I need). Pls consider offering that, if it's technically feasible.

AEK by hiding the unit as Mike states above you are essentially doing the same thing you are asking for, plug the unit into the pedal, strap the control unit under the dash and then just adjust with your phone and the app

Dave:

As stated, I do not want a head/control unit in the car.

It is possible and we are seriously considering doing so. However, the price wouldn't be much lower.

Is that discount code correct? For me it comes up as: "Save $47.50 on any order over $275.00."

Installed mine last weekend. '19 GS M7.

Like AEK I didn't want the head unit visible so I mounted it to one of the dash supports where it's completely out of sight. Had some trouble pairing to my phone so I re-installed the app - worked perfect after that. Install was much easier by removing the gas pedal assy. It allowed me to pull the carpet away so I could see the best way to position everything. I also covered the wire bundles with nylon sleeves for full overkill effect.

First drive this morning setting at Comfort 8. Big difference for sure. Almost feels like I'm wearing shoes with a thicker sole; everything just happens quicker. It takes a little practice for clean getaways and parking lot maneuvers but so far it's a nice improvement. Once the weather breaks I'll do some experimenting but like most I'll find a setting I like and leave it there.

Great mod for <$200.

This product looks great! If I hadn't just installed an "original" (wired) controller earlier this year, I could make a more compelling case (in my head) for one of these. I remain eager to read additional reviews, especially from someone who upgrades their "original" version.

I guess it depends on what you define as "really out of the way" and "completely out of sight." I wired my "original" version into the console which, IMO, qualifies. It remains easily accessible if needed, but out of the way and out of sight unless I open the console.

AEK, after some thought we decided not to go ahead with the "no display" option, it would not save as much to the customer as we anticipated and it doesn't introduce many benefits either. Here's is an idea for you and all those who want everything to look stock and conceal the controller completely;

The controller can work without the display unit (App only), but the extension is an integral part of the host unit (2x2 black box by the pedal). You can simply wrap and tie the extension and not use the display at all.

Please do not cut the extension, although it will work, it will void our warranty.

I ordered this controller yesterday. I currently use a Pedal Commander, paired with a Soler throttle body. I like the new setting options and Bluetooth capabilities of the Soler controller, and I’m anxious to pair it with their TB.

Mike,
Old thread but I just ordered a refurb TB and a TC. I like the idea of not having the display hooked up. Am I reading this correctyl, I can install with the display connected, connect to app then remove/unplug the display and only control from the app? Or would I be locked into the setting when I removed the display? Honestly either way would work for me as I am not going to track my car, I just want to basically find the one to one setting for throttle vs TB opening that I am used to with a carb. I am hearing SP5 or 6 seems to be the happy spot....

Thanks. Leave the display in the box. When pairing, use the last four digits of the 12-digit number on the packaging label. Then adjust through the App.
