Engine stall prevention???
“Engine stall prevention”?My C7 (manual transmission) was blowing warm air intermittently for approximately 15 to 20 seconds after taking off from a start and I took it back to the dealer multiple times and they finally realized that if I was not providing enough throttle at takeoff, then the car went into a mode called “engine stall prevention” and would actually shut the AC clutch off momentarily causing warm air instead of cold air.I asked the advisor how to override that and he said it was not possible.
Does anybody have any knowledge of this program and how it may be overridden to prevent the AC clutch from shutting off during a conservative acceleration? And for the smart asses that might say “just put your foot in it”… I hope your day gets better for you. Lol

I learned to drive stick decades ago by revving slightly and over the past few years it's taken some effort to re-learn this new method. I've stalled out a few times being too aggressive at idle RPM, but that is the way it goes. This method of driving is really easy on the clutch so I'm determined to master it.
Never heard of a stall feature on the C7, however many report the throttle body does have this small dead zone at throttle tip in. This can cause it to not respond immediately and might stumble a bit off the line. I have noticed the A/C compressor seems to cut off as you describe in traffic as it cycles or depending on the temperature setting. For example if the A/C and outside temp are very close it can blow warm occasional as it attempts to stabilize the cabin temp. I've learned to just set the temp a bit lower then desired - this makes it a touch cool but stops it from blowing warm on those rare occasions. To help I set the vents to bi-level (chest and feet) so the air mixes better.
