after my 2016 z51 comes out of its winter nap in the spring I'm probably gonna have to replace the original tires. I only use the car in the spring/summer so "summer only" are ok. Should i replace with the original brand/type, or any one have suggestions about other brands and types. This is my first "performance " car so kinda new to alot of this....thanks for any insight
It really depends what you want to get from your tires and how much you want to spend. Are you looking for better performance, quieter ride, etc.? If you're happy with OEM, and don't mind paying a premium for the zero pressure tires, go with that. If you want to save a few bucks, I'd recommend Firestone Firehawk tires. If you're after performance, there are levels as high as your wallet will go.
I have the Pilot Sport Cup 2 on my 2017 Z06 as my OEM tires. Still going strong but will need to replace soon.
Looking at the Pilot Sport 4S for my replacement. Direct replacement would be the Pilot Super Sport in the same sizes, if I don't want to go back to the Sport Cup 2. Would like to get longer lasting tires. The original sizes are 285/30 R19 front and 335/25 R20 rear. Only problem is I can't find the 4S in the 335/25 R20.
Anyone else having the same issue?
I am looking at a 325/25 R20 instead as its not that different from the 335. The 4S comes in the 285/30 R19. But Tire Rack paring recommends a 275/30 R19 instead.
