It's been about 8 months since I've read any activity on this issue, so I thought I'd see if anyone has any new ideas.
RPM built a new WaveTrac diff for my Z51 with 4.10 gears 18 months ago. I love the setup but the car throws a "Rear Axle" warning every time it's driven. The dealer has pulled the codes and it indicates a software problem in the Body Control module. This makes sense, as the module is checking the operation of the ELSD, and that no longer exists.
The only suggestion I've seen is to bleed the ELSD system, but that didn't work for me. Has anyone else dealt with this? I'd love to find how someone was able to tune that part of the software out of the system. It evidently requires a special license to access the BCM, and I haven't found anyone that can do that.
Not surprising. I think we are at the point where every mechanical change needs to be preceded by a check as to what electronics will need to be re programmed.
