Anyone have a tip for removing the brake hose bolt? I want to change out the copper crush gaskets on it. Not sure how it comes out of the block it’s mounted in.
Brake line removed from old caliper. Copper gaskets on either side of ‘block’ that bolt goes through. New caliper
You can just hold the crush washer and turn the bolt or just tap on the end making sure not to damage the thread should come off and always replace the crush washers
Thanks.
Tapped on the bolt with a larger socket behind the block and got the gasket to come off. The gasket was deformed, triangular shaped, and was holding onto the bolt. Never been apart before so it looks like someone over torqued it during assembly.
