Default No lights in DIC

Hello,

Our 2015 Z51, A8, 13000 miles, picked up last Friday from CarMax -

Running some errands just now, and after getting in the car after my second stop, I had no power anywhere to anything. The start button did nothing, power door and hatch release didn't work, DIC and Infotainment screens black. Opened hatch w/key, found negative battery cable could be rotated a tiny bit on the terminal (battery has 2020 mfg date on it). Snugged up the terminal nut w/fingers a bit, and most power returned. The Infotainment screen lit and worked, car started and ran, doors/hatch worked, but DIC stayed dark.

Returned home, tightened nut w/wrench, but no change in DIC. Other electrical seemed to work.

Am I missing something simple/stupid?

(Here's the funny part - my next errand stop when I had the failure was the local Chevy dealership to make an appointment to check everything out. CarMax has a 30-day warranty for any issues, and I wanted the dealer to see what he could find.)

Anyway, is there a reset button or function for the DIC that I should look for, something that might trip in the event of a power interruption?

TIA,
Larry

No DIC reset button. The complete computer modules reset is to remove the negative battery cable for 20 minutes or so.

Make sure that both battery clamps are down and flat - then tighten.

Lower a window before you disconnect the battery so you have an easy way back in if necessary.

You will have to reindex the windows after you reconnect the battery.

GL
