Does anybody have any input on quality or performance of a Katech throttle body for a 2017 Grand Sport? Any recommendations, is the Tony Mamo a better option? Any input would be appreciated.
My builder/tuner directed me to the NW 103 MM for an upcoming full build Maggie 2650 swap (C7Z 7 spd). I hear both are good, but I'm sure there's differences between the NW/Katech units.
I have the Katech CNC ported throttle body in my 2019 Grand Sport and it made a difference in throttle response and pedal feel and maybe a little power?? I feel it was worth it..
I'm adding the BMS air filter (xmas gift) when/if the spring ever gets here..
+1 for Soler! The biggest issue I had with my 2015 Z51 was the throttle hesitation from idle at tip-in which my dealer said was universally characteristic of Corvettes. A friend told me about Soler throttle bodies and my customer experience was fantastic. More importantly, the LT1 throttle hesitation vanished. For complete throttle control for cruising, spirited street driving or track events buy both the throttle body plus controller (read discount). Installation is easy with simple hand tools and instructions are clear. Don’t expect to realize tangible power gains but the throttle response is WAY improved. What’s more, it’s USA made and Mike at Soler has a terrific rep for outstanding service, though I didn’t need any assistance at all.
