I feel your pain. Many of us have done things that had unexpected results, not always good ones. But, that said, "...destroyed my 19 Grand Sport" was a gross overstatement. I wish you the best, AND I'm glad you didn't burn your car to the ground, which I expected as I read on.

The car is finally fixed. I sent a pic of of the back of my airbag that the dealer sent to me to my tuner. The dealer said it was missing 2 of the 3 springs. I asked the tuner if he had the springs. He didn’t. The dealer wanted to sell me a new airbag for $800.00. Oh hell no. Who knows where the air bag parts went. I’ll figure that one out.
The tech replaced the new clock spring and the sensor behind it. Tuned everything and all is well. Total cost for the $400 steering wheel? $2400.00 including the wheel. Good lord. Lol. At least it’s in the rear view.thanks all for letting me vent.

This is the 19. A/C is the last thing to fix. Might be electrical. I actually got this bolt out, screwing everything along the way! Ya can’t put this back together. They told me there should be 3 springs. I can’t find a picture to verify. Are the springs for the horn or the airbag. No clock spring on the 76, thank god.

I agree. I did watch about every video I could find. One said heat. He recommended a torch. I simply stayed on the bold for too long. I'm trying to post pics but have been unsuccessful so far. I'll keep trying....

To post pictures from your phone email them or transfer them to your computer and file them somewhere you know where to find them. Then click the landscape icon at the top of the entry box as shown by the red arrow in this picture:
That will get you a display that looks like this:
When you click on device with a windows pc you will be able to go to whatever disk drive or file location you stored the pictures and click on them to upload to the forum:
Clicking on open brings them to the second page where you can rearrange them if you want and then clicking on upload shown on the second page will move them up to the forum. Sometimes the web speed or your wifi can slow the image transfer. If it stops use an editor to reduce the pixel count of the picture.
Here is my original problem. Burn the damn thing. Now they tell me I’ve got two springs missing out of three from the back of my air bag. I’m not sure about that. Does anyone know?
This is my last posting on this subject. The car is complete. The last part of the repair was the A/C. It simply stoped working during all this. The problem was the A/C relay in the under hood fuse box. The connector contact point let loose. Push hard on it and the A/C worked. Turns out I’m not alone with this problem. The fuse box was replaced and now all is well. It only took 6 months to get it all sorted out. Thanks to all of you. It’s been a challenging repair.
