AWE Touring Vs. Corsa Xtreme
Hey all. I'm currently running thr AWE Touring with secondary cat delete. While I do like the sound it's a bit too loud for me in the cabin during cruising. I either have to drive at 65 or 85 in order to get rid of the loud noise in the cabin. I drive to work about 70 miles one way so it can get rather fatiguing. I was wondering if the Corsa Xtreme was more quieter on the highway.

Supposedly the awe will drone if you don’t use the afe mid pipe. I’m guessing you have the Corsa? If so you need to swap that cat delete pipe to the awe one or trade the axle back for the Corsa. This is what I have read and not first hand experience.

I have the AWE touring with their X pipe and I experience no drone at any speed. I was thinking to myself this weekend while I was loping in 7th gear at 60 mph how quiet the system is inside the car.

Is your eBay pipe like the Corsa? If so that combination is known to cause drone with the AWE. Idk if headers will help or make it worse.

For what it's worth, I installed the Corsa Xtreme on my previous C6 and I could not have been more pleased with the sound; quiet when you wanted it to be, but as the name implies extreme when you punched it with the coolest aggresive sounding pops created when you backed off. I never noticed any drone on the highway. I don't think I ever turned on the audio after installing preferring to just bask in the sound of the alluring exhaust notes.. Your mileage may vary, haha.

You might try to add Helmholtz resonators in the mix. They greatly help with the drone.
