Never used them but from a few years back on the Sat car shows on TV seem to be a well made header. But then again on them shows the stuff is free just to get the name out on the market. Robert

If you're going to the trouble of changing headers anyway, why not do long-tube and make it worthwhile? Btw, where did the "18hp" figure come from and do you really think you would feel it? But, for bench-racing... In any event, all the best.

Correction , 14 Hp. I did state that they are CARB legal which is something majority of Long tubes aren’t.

they also claim to be 19lbs lighter , and im sure will make the car sound a little louder. If i have help to put em on why not ?

If you have to be CARB legal, then by all means go with what will keep you legal. And if your mind is made up, why ask? If I were going to add headers & they had to be CARB legal, I'd do some homework and get the headers that would get the most for the money & effort. If you can find a set of Long Tubes that are CARB legal, it should be a no-brainer decision! However, I don't know if that exists. Good luck on whatever you decide & I'm sure you'll be happy with the added HP & sound!

I've got them on my GS, didn't have it dyno'd so can't really speak on HP gains. The real value is in the sound improvement and weight reduction IMO. Also, since they're a direct fit replacement for the manifolds you don't displace the 02 sensors so no check engine light, and you don't need a tune. In theory that should keep your warranty intact if that's relevant.

Yes , this just sold me . I take it the sound got louder ? Which is something i really want since i have the active exhaust and don’t want to mess with that.

So at first I just had the borla atak cat back, I did the headers several months later and it's noticeably louder than the cat back alone, especially on cold starts and WOT.

I have a set on a shelf that I paid about $600 for, new. I’d planned to put them on my Z for weight reduction and never got around to it. PM me if you’re interested.
Here’s a good write-up on them:

I see you had / have the hooker shorty headers, I am staying away from long tube headers due to the tinny sound I am destined to get snd I don’t want to be wondering if I have an exhaust leak all the time , is this a factor on your car?

What " tinny" sound ... if you have a tinny sound, you do have an exhaust leak which will drive your O2 sensors crazy or cheap headers, if you buy a name brand header you won't have to worry about exhaust leaks. The header flanges are really thick and don't " warp" like the headers from back in the day plus the pipes are much thicker. I have dropped my headers for various reasons over the years (new starter etc.) and never even changed the gaskets which are the OEM metal gaskets
Don't use any of the junk that they send you and you will not have any issue with leaks
