Default X pipe

Will changing just the X-pipe provide any extra hp?
Does it change the sound or make it louder?

No for extra HP. If it's a catless x-pPipe, it will increase the sound a bit, especially if you pull the NPP valve fuse. Catless x-pipes are hard to find now due to EPA crackdowns on manufactures. Maybe you could find a muffler shop that could remove the secondary cats from the x-pipe and replace with a straight pipe.

I run Borla x-pipe with fuse pulled and it sound perfect to me.

I noticed a little more throttle response and deeper sound. Check your state laws before you buy. Good luck.

Other than sound, don't bother... a bench-racing mod.

Its worth it for the sound alone ... , with NPP open its how a corvette should have sounded coming off the assembly like but absolutely no power gain
