Transmission Control Module requested MIL Illumination
2015 Corvette Stingray: Had new battery replacement.
1. engine light comes on periodically, I went to ORielly's auto and we did the check. It read: transmission Control Module Requested MIL Illumination. Also, I see on t he reading transmission Fluid temperature sensor.
2. due to the new battery replacement, should the sensors be reprogrammed.?
3. My car has 46th miles on it.
Any good advice would be appreciated. I don't want a huge bill from the dealership.
From the owner's manual (see links in C7 General | Sticky Threads):
Window Indexing
Indexing automatically lowers the
window a small amount when the
door is opened. When the door is
closed, the window will raise to its
full up position. If either window
does not index properly, it could be
due to loss of power. Before
returning to the dealer for service,
perform the window indexing reset
procedure.
Window Indexing and
Express-Up Reset
Window indexing may be required if
the vehicle battery has been
recharged or disconnected, or is not
working. Express-up and the
convertible top will not function until
the windows are reset. After battery
power is restored, a message
displays in the Driver Information
Center. See Driver Information
Center (DIC) on page 5-26.
Once power is restored:
1. Close the doors.
2. Start the vehicle.
3. Hold the window switch up to the
fully closed position.
I recommend that you browse the C7 General | Sticky Threads. There is a wealth of information accumulated since 2013.
I just found another thread with a reset procedure. If you can open the hood and the fuse box, pull ENGINE CONTROL MODULE / TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (fuse #53 2015 models) for about 30 minutes, then replace.
You said you changed the battery before and all these issues started to happen. Take a look at you negative battery terminal, there is a small black voltage sense wire on that terminal. If that wire was broken upon battery replacement, this will cause all kind of weird codes & issues to pop up, check & make sure this wire is connected & not broken.

It is the TSB and the part number is impossible to find , I ended up calling my dealer to verify what I needed , I only replaced one of the internal harneses, the one that connects to the shift selonoids as that has the Temp sensor . The other requires the removal of the valve body , it has nothing to do with where the short in the harness is
