Default New 19 Grandsport AFM issues--HELP Please

Just picked up a 2019 Grandsport and on the trip home I put it in Tour Mode and it had some bad vibration-shuderring at various steady speeds. I don't know the service history of the car, but I'm seeing the triple flush and some aftermarket add-ons that will eliminate the AFM4 cyl switching. Can you please help this newbie on what needs to be done so that I don't damage anything? That shaking/vibration situation can't be good for the drivetrain. Sold my C-6 last year and wife has been wanting a C-7 and we finally found one. Driving it home, the first time it shuddered I panicked, thinking I just got screwed by the seller. Ha-ha. Anyway, Please share your expertise with me.Thanks

Get the triple flush immediately. That should fix the problem. if not, your torque converter has probably been damaged. It's a warranty issue for you. Your bumper-to-bumper warranty should still be valid. If not, the drive train warranty will work, too. AFM usually doesn't have any connection to the "shudder" issue. Sometimes the activation of V4 to V8 can be felt briefly but not for an extended period of time like you're experiencing. If you decide to eliminate AFM, the easy way out is to train yourself to shift manually. Be warned, there is a short learning curve associated with manual shifting. But, once mastered, you probably won't go back to automatic. I speak from personal experience. If that doesn't appeal to you, the Range unit is the consensus way to go. It does require removal prior to emissions testing. Generally, driving without the Range unit for about a week will reset the emissions data in the ECU and you're all set to pass the test.
I've attached a copy of the triple flush process and service bulletin. Sometimes dealers have an issue with performing this service. Having the TSB (service bulletin) on hand saves the day.

If you feel the need to disable AFM, we have your solution right here:

You can also consider tuning, which will add power and increase performance and let you turn AFM off for good.

VERY common Forum thread topic. If you want MORE... do an "Advanced search" across the C7 Forums and you'll find more than you'll ever want to read! Enjoy the Vette, though.
