Titanium Brake Pad Shields - do they work...
Anyone have experience on a track car with the Titanium Brake Pad Shields from Girodisc, do they work in protecting the dust boots from cracking / overheating?
On another note, are the dust boots even needed if they crack nearly instantly on the track?

I have used titanium shields with other brake calipers and found the dust boots still fail. The shields do a lot to slow heat transfer into the brake fluid but the dust boots are more fragile.
