C7 engine how to tell it’s a corvette Eng.
Have 2015 C7 A8 convert having an engine change at an unknown dealer away from my res. Was on road trip Eng just quit, was towed to Wilson Chevrolet .. $14,000 new Eng, supposedly thrust bearing failure. How do I know that a NEW corvette motor is being installed, is there a way to determine …. Dealer is ?.. they wouldn’t tell me how they determined bearing issue, they wouldn’t tell me we’re engine was coming from ?… so what makes me think three installing a trust corvette motor…?

It’s not quite that simple but I did reach out to GM ceo Barra, and I think things will change at this dealership in regards to my questions of interest . But it blows 2 new motors in less than 6000 miles crazy … but this is a clear result of poor and incorrect install at mall Chevrolet on first motor … misalignment of torque tubes , driveshaft, flex plate. Result a failed thrust bearing …. Not sure what happened on first engine ? No one will disclose seen as how car was under orig . Warranty … but second failure for sure was dear-ship neglect on proper install …. Torq. Adjustment incorrect along with torque tube alignment

No details, no paperwork... NOOOOO!!! I got verification of an engine being right off the Corvette engine assembly line. The paperwork was from GM doing so when I bought a LS3 crate engine some years ago. This is silly... and, scary. All the best, in any event. 
(btw, if the engine they got is from GM it came with a GM part number that can be used to verify exactly what it is)
