Default Battery tender question

Hi all, forgive me for the silly question, but for the OEM tender that plugs into the cig lighter.
I know there’s a cig lighter adapter in the rear hatch that is used for the tender, but is that adapter wired any different, like somehow more direct to the battery or can the adapter in the cabin be used in the same way?
Thanks

The port in the rear hatch is constantly connected to the battery, regardless of the ignition switch status. I believe the adapter in the cabin is switched and "disconnects" when the ignition switch is off.

Your correct, now that I think about it, the cabin adapter does turn off when the ignition is off, I believe that answers my question.
Thanks!
