Looking for an axle back and wanted your input
- 19 z06 8a
- I want to keep the npp
- no drone is a requirement at least with NPP engagement
- need to keep secondary cats (thanks California)
- open to doing a post secondary cat x-pipe if it helps sound/performance
right now I am thinking Corsa or maybe Akra but hoping to see some cars in person soon
i want more sound and realizing that power increase will be minimal on any of these.
from what I am seeing the exhaust with NPP on will still be reasonable with these systems am I correct?
Sorry, I forgot to add since I have been delayed getting a 4 post lift I have only heard them at cruise nights and rode in a C7 with same unit and it sounded awesome.. no drone I could detect. I purchased it before season to get one before they outlaw stuff altogether. I may try putting it on 12" front blocks and see if I can get enough clearance to get it on now.. I originally wanted Akrapovic, but not much chance getting an evo system in USA unless you pay even more than the $6000 list to get one from another country I think... Corsa looks to be a solid company here in USA and is built really well, great welds, quality materials.. can't wait to get this damn thing on my ride but at least I have it I guess

I went with the Corsa Extreme Variable NPP axle back. I already had Corsa Headers and X-Pipe but I wanted a deeper sound than the factory mufflers.
The Corsa’s look freak’n AMAZING. Huge 4.5” black tips that just look so much better than the factory mufflers.
On the sound it is a deeper tone and louder than stock (not much louder for me because I already had the headers and x-pipe). Best part is NO DRONE. The stock NPP would drone with my setup if I was in track mode or locked the valves open (pulled fuse).
I also added a Mild2Wild so that I can lock the valves open at the push of the button. After paying $3k I wanted the valves open all the time except when leaving on an early morning and not wanting to wake the entire neighborhood up. Without the Mild2Wild the valves close just like stock and it is quiet. So quiet that my car sounds 100% stock.
You can also check out the DIY version created by forum members. A great unit that totally hides UNDER the fuse box cover, works with remotes or homelink buttons and is removable in seconds.. no cutting fuse box , no wires or external units totally undetectable. If your handy .. build one today The parts are under $20
