Default ADDING HUD to a 1LT C7?

Morning. Can HUD be added to a 1LT C7? In the c6 it was relatively easy to do. Was wondering about the C7 in case I find one that doesn't have it. Thanks

No - not for reasonable cost & effort. Search for HUD to find more threads.

Of course, ANYTHING is possible with enough time & money.

Just an FYI, as it looks like you haven't bought a car yet and are just researching... When I was looking at buying my C7 I was convinced that I needed the 2LT package specifically to have the HUD, as I was so used to it in my C6 (where I added it myself). However after one of the GM engineers showed me how customizable the regular C7 dashboard is (same in all versions) I did not feel the need anymore for a HUD. So before saying no to a 1LT car I'd suggest doing some additional research on the possibilities of the regular dash, and you might not feel the need for HUD anymore.

For the money you will spend, why not simply get an 2LT? Otherwise, you will spend more time and money and have some regret.

I like the HUD, especially being programmable. My ONE nit to pick with the C7 is triple redundancy of the speedometer. WHY do we need 3 available. I feel the left pocket could've/should've been used for something more than an analog speedo, which I NEVER look at.

Probably the same reason we have the metal keys. To keep some old geezers happy. We have had push button start for a long time but why did so many cars have to still use the electronic fob as an old style key? My suspicion is that they are afraid the old ones can't adapt to the paradigm of having the key in the pocket all day long.

In addition I believe cost was a factor. Considering the C7 was in development a decade+ ago....large LCD screens were expensive.
